Today, Daddy brought home a SUPERSIZED t.b. for us! I immediately ran over to ZuZu to show her.

 
I thought ZuZu would spaz out because of how much she lubs tennis balls and this one is SUPERSIZED! And I was right! She just lubbed it!

We had a lot of fun with SUPERSIZED t.b., we played lots of tug-o-war:



I think playing with a SUPERSIZED toy makes you even more tired than playing with a regular one. After all our playing we ended up having a SUPERSIZED nap. ZuZu was so sneepy she even let me nap with her (a bonus!).

Ok, so when M&D came back from Disneyland they brought back Goofy and Dumbo for me and ZuZu.


We was so excited about our new stuffed toys BUT we soon found out that these are not for shredding! Mummy said something about memories or something and went so far as to hide Goofy from me (I just could not keep my paws off him, can you blame me?)! Anyway, being the super sniffer that I am,  I found Goofy's hiding spot!! Mummy tried to hide him up on top of some boxes but I found him!


 Here is me climbing on top of a shoe rack behind Mummy's golf clubs just to get him:

I thought I was in the clear but then Ruh Roh!...sadly I got caught. Umm...no Mummy, those aren't my drool stains!



Mummy gave me a short lecture and I promised I wouldn't do it again but 5 minutes later...here is me looking for Goofy again....Hey, where did he go??!!

About 10 days ago Mummy and Daddy left for 'vacation'. At first I didn't know what they were talking about and what this would mean. I've never experienced M&D leaving for 'vacation'. ZuZu tried to explain it to me but I just didn't understand. Then G-ma and G-pa came over to stay and take care of us. They spoiled us lots with yummy nom noms, we spent everyday in the gardens,  slept and played in the sunshine.  ZuZu was extra spoiled because G-pa played ball with her all the time. I quickly found out that vacations are pretty cool :)

Yesterday Mummy and Daddy came back from their trip. I was so happy to see them! ZuZu and I fought to give them kisses. They were both on the floor by the time we finished!

After re-uniting as a family I had 1:1 time with Mummy. I wanted to make sure it was really her. Mummy is that really you?


After Mummy smiled and reassured me I felt it was ok to be myself again wif her.


I quickly jumped into her lap and let her give me snuggles.


I is soo happy that our family is back together again!

I've always wondered about ZuZu's fascination with t.b. and so I decided steal him away from her.


ZuZu wasn't too happy about that but it was fun having her chase me.

But in the end I decided to give him back to ZuZu.  It was fun while it lasted but I know how much she lubs and missed him.

Over the May long weekend Mum and Dad took us out on a hike. We had lots of fun exploring and sniffing all the beautiful smells in the forest. Here are some pics from the day:





We had a great day hiking and exploring. Can you believe this is all in our backyard? Well...just a few blocks away. M&D promised to take us back again real soon! I can't wait!

Today I was in the mood to chew on some shoes (one of my favorite past times). The tricky thing about chewing shoes though is that for some reason Mummy and Daddy don't like it when I do it. I don't understand why not - they are smelly, good for my teeth and when I do chew on shoes M&D come home with new ones (which they always seem happy about). Anyway, here is how my attempt to chew Daddy's shoes unfolded today:

Here I am trying not to attract any attention. My mouth is in the right position and I am just waiting for the right moment to CHOW DOWN!


UH OH...I think someone is coming...Daddy is calling my name.


I quickly close my eyes to pretend I'm sleeping!


It doesn't work, Daddy has found me out. I try to tell him "Daddy, I'm only using the shoe to rest my head" but he just rolls his eyes at me. Hrrrmmmph!


Ok, Daddy isn't convinced....need to give up on this one (for now)...


1 minute later....

"Oh, hi again Daddy...I'm just resting my head...."


*sigh* Chewing shoes was a FAIL today but there is always tomorrow!

I recently blogged about the great time we had with Duke the beagle and his Mummy Hyedie who visited us from Toronto. If you missed it, you can read about it here.

Duke's foster beagle brofur, Petey, wasn't able to make the trip. I would have loved to meet Petey because I wanted to show him some tricks I copied from him. See Petey's video called "Working on 10 Part Behavior Chain with Petey" http://www.whenhoundsfly.com/resources/videos.html (Duke and Petey are both amazing beagles and lucky to have a Daddy (Andre) who is a positive reinforcement dog trainer).

Am I good or what? arrroooooo! Ok I'm not as good or fast as Petey but I'll get there! Especially if treats are involved. I'll do tricks for treats anytime!

What really needs working on though is Mummy's yoga. *whispers* I think Mummy has a tougher time keeping her balance than I do with my tricks! BOL!

Here is a few pics of Duke checking out our garden. Doesn't he look sweet?





After our meet and greet at our house, we decided to go for a walk to Princess Park nearby. Duke is also crazy about his ball like ZuZu. Here is Duke with his Mum, Heidi, and Duke with his ball resting under a tree.


After we played in the park we went for an unexpected hike. M&D forgot which way to go home BOL! so we showed Duke and his Mum the scenic way home. Here is me posing, looking small in the big forest!

I was really sad to see Duke go. I was a babypup and cried when he left. Daddy took this video of me as Duke and his Mum were leaving. The clip was much longer with me crying but we cut it short cuz I embarrassed. I hope Duke comes back to visit again soon!

Mummy likes to take lots and lots of photos of us. Mostly I just stare and occasionally squint my eyes when there is too much flash. Starbuck was a much better poser than I am. ZuZu just tolerates Mummy and usually only gives her about 3 basic poses: 1) on the couch 2) jumping for the ball 3) waiting for Mummy to throw the ball. Anyway, Daddy got Mummy a new camera and she was so excited I decided to pose a bit for her. Tell me what you think.

I lub lub lub eating my beds. But its very important to do it when Mummy and Daddy aren't looking and especially important not to get caught.

As soon as I hear Mummy or Daddy's voice yell "Hampton"...


 I disguise myself and pretend I'm a bear!


This way I get lots of "awws" and Mummy and Daddy forget they were gonna get mad at me!!  (I consider this a modified head tilt technique, see "head tilt"comic)

This video was taped when Mummy and Daddy were first training me to use the bell to go pee. There is no snow outside but thats what our winters are like in Vancouver. Do I still qualify? And do I have an advantage for being able to practice at an olympic home site? BOL!!
