I was getting all excited watching the Canada vs USA women's olympic soccer (aka football) game! Unfortunately they lost to our American friends 3-4 but they still have a chance at a Bronze Medal! We've been enjoying watching the summer olympics in London. I've always dreamt one day I would be in the olympics too - for super dog ball catching abilities! Since they haven't approved that category yet (what's wrong with the IOC?) we had some fun at home. I think Mummy is my biggest fan...here are some pics of me and Mummy cheering me on :)

Dear Dog Blog,

The other weekend M&D took us on one of their hikes. We ended up getting lost on the trails and what should have been a 1 hour hike turned out to be closer to 3! Daddy blames it on the map he had (uh huh). Luckily we weren't too deep in the forest. We got lost cause we kept going on the wrong trails and basically went round and round in circles!

The trail we were on looked a lot like the setting in the show "Once Upon a Time" (the show is actually filmed here in BC). We think the setting looks like the forest that Snow White walks through on the show. Here are some pics Daddy took from our little adventure. Mummy says these  photos would be perfect for our very own story book ♥.

We have the bestest friend ever! We absolutely lub our facebook friends. They are so caring, sweet, kind-hearted and always put smiles on our faces.

Yesterday we got a really cool gift from Giselle, Vincent and the beagle ninjas. A giraffe stuffed with a plastic bottle!!! How smart (in case you didn't know, beagles lub lub lub plastic bottles)!

Today we helped Mummy with her gardening. She called us her little cows cause we kept nomming on the grass. nom nom nom!




As part of her gardening, Mummy dug out some holes to plant her bulbs. I started thinking, what could be better than a t.b. tree?!!!...so I decided to try and plant t.b. in one of them.


Hampton thought it was a pawesome idea too and decided to get in on the action. He thought t.b. should have a bigger hole so he started digging - he's good at that. You can't see it here but his paws got pretty black. Mummy wasn't too happy with that.


Oh well. Maybe we'll get to plant t.b. next time....when Mummy isn't around!

A few months ago Hampton received a super cute beaver in the mail from our facebook friends, Beggie & Maja. We named him, Beiber (see more pics of Hampton & Beiber here).


For Kissmas, Beggie & Maja sent me a cute little beaver too! I've decided to call mine, Gomez!!!

Here are some pics of me and Gomez. I am balancing Gomez on my head just like Hampton did with Beiber! (Btw, the beautiful red and black blankie is from our dear friend Sadie. Sadie's Mum made it for us! Thank you Sadie! We lub it!).

On June 20th I celebrated my 10th birthday!! M&D say this is a milestone birthday. Does this mean I'm a a big girl now?

Dear Dog Blog,
Some of you may already know I'm a big tomboy and don't like taking pics as much as my beagle brofurs. However, Mummy decided to submit one of my pics to a magazine call-out for dogs like me! I didn't think I would get in but to my surprise they wanted me!! I can't say yet what it is for but will be able to give more details in a few months. Mummy says I'm going to be Canada's Next Top Model (CNTM)! We'll see about that!

We don't have any pics from the actual photo shoot but M&D took some photos of us getting ready for it. They thought it would be cute to dress us up in bows (like they always do) so that we could be extra cute and stylish for the posh photographers, stylists etc. (btw I didn't wear this for the photo shoot, they gave me a special collar). Here are some pics of us:

Excited but nervous. Away we go!

At the photo shoot it took me a while to settle down. It was the first time in about 2 years that Hampton and I were separated and it was also such a new environment. Daddy said Hampton was howling for me outside and I was worried for him.

During the shoot I forgot what it meant to "wait / stay" and kept jumping of the stage. Then I couldn't stop smiling and the photographer said they needed a shot with my mouth closed! Mummy was sweating and trying to calm me down. BOL! T.B. was there for support too. He was squeaking and coaching me to pay attention. In the end the words "ball" and "park" helped me focus and remember to close my mouth. Go figure!!

Anyway, we'll have to see how it all turns out. Who knows if I'll even end up making the final edit! It was a good experience though and I had fun! Next time I'll have to ask Hampton for more tips on how to pose! BOL!

We've been having weird weather the last few weeks. Last week Hampton blogged about our fun times in the snow. And shortly after, it rained and washed all the snow away. Many of our friends have pointed out how much I resemble the winner of the Best in Show this year, Hickory the Scottish deerwho? deerhound. M&D even yelled out "hey its ZuZu" while watching the competition.

One of our most favorite pastimes (especially during winter) is PEOPLE WATCHING! There are generally 2 types of people watching we like to do:

1) We love people watching (aka security) from our window:



2) When nothing much is going on outside, we like to do some Mummy & Daddy watching:

But luckily, Mummy knows how to do surgery. She's smart!


But Hampton, being Hampton, stole my ball again!! Grrrr!


...and it didn't look like he was going to give it back!


So I had to resort to Mummy & Daddy for help before he destroyed it again.  I mean, how many surgeries can one t.b. have?

i hopes everyone had a good kissmas and is having happy howlidays!  one of my favorite things about  special occasions is that mummy bakes us something special. for kissmas this year mummy decided to make us our favorite peanut butter nom noms. ever since we started eating raw food we mostly have had blueberries or carrots for treats. but mummy said on special occasions she will bake us something special.

We had a really great weekend! Daddy and Mummy surprised us by taking us to a local dog beach! Here is me and Hampton running towards the water.


Hampton spent most of the time sniffing rocks and walking around with Mummy (to each their own! *yawn*) while Daddy and I played fetch (fun! *happy feet*). 

Daddy threw t.b. in the water for me a few times. I usually don't like going in the water but I couldn't just let t.b. float away! I'm glad though that he didn't throw the ball too far. He knows I only like getting my legs wet.

I previously blogged about how Hammie and I like to spy on the new neighbour dog aka Heinz 57 (read about it here). Despite all our efforts of howling and whining at her from the window we get no response. Today however, we were out in the backyard and Heinz 57 was in hers too!

But it seems that she likes her privacy and had no interest in us. :(

We're not going to give up though! We hope we will be able to win her over someday! Until then, we will have to keep admiring our neighbour dog from afar *sigh*

Me and Hampton fought over who would write this important post. But because I'm the oldest, I won. BOL!

Mummy and Daddy could not have scheduled their vacation at the WORST time! Because they were away with limited internet access we weren't able to attend and participate in the 1st ever Anipal Academy Awards! Mummy blogged about what this is all about here.

Anyway, we are so proud of our fellow anipals who organized the event and for those who won awards - they deserved it!!! Congratulations to those on the organizing committee who put on a successful event! They are the hardest working and anipals out there! Special kudos to @AutumnTheDoxie and Tiger Tommy @TheNascarKitty.

We were able to help out a little bit but what we did was so minuscule in comparison to all the hard work that went into this annual event. And it paid off! The event ended up raising over $2600 for animal cancer research, can you believe that! That's pawesome!!

We were very honored to be a part of this event!! And we are happy to say we received 2 very big surprises:

1. Puppy Jones recevied a STAR in honor of anipal artists and comics *blush blush*



2. We (me, Hampton and Starbuck) received a "paw"some  trophy for just being part of the help - totally unexpected! (Do you think I totally color coordinate with the trophy or what!?)


(Hampton was nervous taking such an important picture, I told him just to smile but he never listens to me!)

I'm 9 years old today! And I'm so happy that I can celebrate my birfday with Daddy for Daddy's Day! If you didn't know, I'm Daddy's little angel (and I think I'm his favorite but don't tell Hampton or Starbuck that). Daddy said there wasn't any other way he would want to spend his day than to celebrate me (why thanks Dad!).



Mummy made us yummy nom nom pupcakes (which Hampton hogged) and we spent most of the day doing my most favorite thing - playing with t.b.


I wanted to thank all my anipals on twitter and our friends on facebook for wishing me a happy birfday. It worked because I definitely had a happy day!!!!

Hampton and I made a promise to eachother that we would get in shape for the summer. I said I would work the stairs and he said he would do trampoline jumps.

Have you ever experienced food coma? I'm sure you have! Its when you are soooo satisfied with what you just ate that you go into a deep deep sneep! Well I experienced that today.

Here is me chewing on a nommy meat bone. Nom nom om nommm.....


After I finished chewing on my bone I decided to relax in my favorite chair. Then all of a sudden I could feel the food coma coming on. My eyes started to feel heavier and heavier and I had this overwhelming feeling of satisfaction and comfort. Mummy thought it was funny cause I looked so zoned out.


I don't know what happened after that as one minute my eyes were opened and the next they were closed and then...


ZZZZzzzzzzz....

Hampton asked me what I was dreaming about in my food coma. I don't remember exactly but I think meat flavored tennis balls were involved. Mmmm....

Hampton was a bad boy on Sunday and ended up putting his nose near rat poison! Mummy and Daddy were very upset. We had to go to emergency and Hampton got poked and prodded. We didn't get home until 3am! WAY past our bed time. Mummy says Hampton is going to be ok. He's giving his 'feel sorry for me' face in this pic. Well it worked and so I let him snuggle with me.

 

He sure milked it tho! He better not get used to it!  I admit, I am glad he is ok.

Today was another beautiful sunny day in Vancouver. It was like spring time in winter! Although we would much rather have snow to bounce around in we can't complain! We spent the day running around the yard playing ball. It reminded me of the times Starbuck and I would go to the park where we used to live ~ here is a quick video Daddy took of us playing fetch back then. Aren't I good? You can see how lazy (or smart) Starbuck is. He only runs with me half way before he turns around.

Mummy and Daddy love their wii. Some days we have to bite at their ankles while they are playing tennis to get their attention. I suppose to make us feel included they decided to make mii's for us too - what we would look like if we were human. What do you think?  teehee!

Merry kissmass everyone! This year we spent Kissmas with at our cousin moby’s and got lots of prezzies. Here is a pic of Moby.

He’s a funny one. Always trying to check my id (aka bum sniff). But I’m too quick for him!!
