We had a really great weekend! Daddy and Mummy surprised us by taking us to a local dog beach! Here is me and Hampton running towards the water.


Hampton spent most of the time sniffing rocks and walking around with Mummy (to each their own! *yawn*) while Daddy and I played fetch (fun! *happy feet*). 

Daddy threw t.b. in the water for me a few times. I usually don't like going in the water but I couldn't just let t.b. float away! I'm glad though that he didn't throw the ball too far. He knows I only like getting my legs wet.

I previously blogged about how Hammie and I like to spy on the new neighbour dog aka Heinz 57 (read about it here). Despite all our efforts of howling and whining at her from the window we get no response. Today however, we were out in the backyard and Heinz 57 was in hers too!

But it seems that she likes her privacy and had no interest in us. :(

We're not going to give up though! We hope we will be able to win her over someday! Until then, we will have to keep admiring our neighbour dog from afar *sigh*

Me and Hampton fought over who would write this important post. But because I'm the oldest, I won. BOL!

Mummy and Daddy could not have scheduled their vacation at the WORST time! Because they were away with limited internet access we weren't able to attend and participate in the 1st ever Anipal Academy Awards! Mummy blogged about what this is all about here.

Anyway, we are so proud of our fellow anipals who organized the event and for those who won awards - they deserved it!!! Congratulations to those on the organizing committee who put on a successful event! They are the hardest working and anipals out there! Special kudos to @AutumnTheDoxie and Tiger Tommy @TheNascarKitty.

We were able to help out a little bit but what we did was so minuscule in comparison to all the hard work that went into this annual event. And it paid off! The event ended up raising over $2600 for animal cancer research, can you believe that! That's pawesome!!

We were very honored to be a part of this event!! And we are happy to say we received 2 very big surprises:

1. Puppy Jones recevied a STAR in honor of anipal artists and comics *blush blush*



2. We (me, Hampton and Starbuck) received a "paw"some  trophy for just being part of the help - totally unexpected! (Do you think I totally color coordinate with the trophy or what!?)

I'm 9 years old today! And I'm so happy that I can celebrate my birfday with Daddy for Daddy's Day! If you didn't know, I'm Daddy's little angel (and I think I'm his favorite but don't tell Hampton or Starbuck that). Daddy said there wasn't any other way he would want to spend his day than to celebrate me (why thanks Dad!).



Mummy made us yummy nom nom pupcakes (which Hampton hogged) and we spent most of the day doing my most favorite thing - playing with t.b.


I wanted to thank all my anipals on twitter and our friends on facebook for wishing me a happy birfday. It worked because I definitely had a happy day!!!!

Hampton and I made a promise to eachother that we would get in shape for the summer. I said I would work the stairs and he said he would do trampoline jumps.




Unfortunately when it was Hampton's turn, he decided resting under the trampoline was better for him than jumping on it.

Have you ever experienced food coma? I'm sure you have! Its when you are soooo satisfied with what you just ate that you go into a deep deep sneep! Well I experienced that today.

Here is me chewing on a nommy meat bone. Nom nom om nommm.....


After I finished chewing on my bone I decided to relax in my favorite chair. Then all of a sudden I could feel the food coma coming on. My eyes started to feel heavier and heavier and I had this overwhelming feeling of satisfaction and comfort. Mummy thought it was funny cause I looked so zoned out.


I don't know what happened after that as one minute my eyes were opened and the next they were closed and then...


ZZZZzzzzzzz....

Hampton asked me what I was dreaming about in my food coma. I don't remember exactly but I think meat flavored tennis balls were involved. Mmmm....

Hampton was a bad boy on Sunday and ended up putting his nose near rat poison! Mummy and Daddy were very upset. We had to go to emergency and Hampton got poked and prodded. We didn't get home until 3am! WAY past our bed time. Mummy says Hampton is going to be ok. He's giving his 'feel sorry for me' face in this pic. Well it worked and so I let him snuggle with me.

 

He sure milked it tho! He better not get used to it!  I admit, I am glad he is ok.

Today was another beautiful sunny day in Vancouver. It was like spring time in winter! Although we would much rather have snow to bounce around in we can't complain! We spent the day running around the yard playing ball. It reminded me of the times Starbuck and I would go to the park where we used to live ~ here is a quick video Daddy took of us playing fetch back then. Aren't I good? You can see how lazy (or smart) Starbuck is. He only runs with me half way before he turns around.

Mummy and Daddy love their wii. Some days we have to bite at their ankles while they are playing tennis to get their attention. I suppose to make us feel included they decided to make mii's for us too - what we would look like if we were human. What do you think?  teehee!

Merry kissmass everyone! This year we spent Kissmas with at our cousin moby’s and got lots of prezzies. Here is a pic of Moby.

He’s a funny one. Always trying to check my id (aka bum sniff). But I’m too quick for him!!
